Miracle in America™ Anthology

The first volume for the Miracle in America anthology is scheduled to be published in 2026, in shaa Allah, and will feature rich stories written by African American Muslims about their journey to Islam, in the form of essays, poetry, and prose.  This coffee table book will be published biennially and we are accepting submissions on an ongoing basis.  

Specific Guidelines

Please make sure your work conforms to the following guidelines:

• All literary works must be original and unpublished
• Works are submitted in English
• Essays must be between 750 and 1500 works
• Poetry and prose: 4 to 6 pieces can be submitted with each piece consisting of up to 750 words
• Your work must be submitted as either an attachment in a rich text format (RTF) or a Word document (unformatted).
• Please do not send web links to your writing or artwork

Artwork Guidelines

• You may submit up to 6 photographs to accompany your submission including a photo of yourself 
• We accept high-resolution JPG image files only.

• Submit your work to miracleinamerica@gmail.com
• Please provide a cover letter and include a short biography (no more than 50 words).
• The upcoming deadline is September 5, 2025.
• Our reading period is 3 months.
• For writers whose submissions are accepted,  a modest fee of $50 and a copy of the published anthology will be provided.
